Happy Women’s Day
To Celebrate Women’s Day We Wish them Happy Women’s Day…and after a long gap kickstart our Friday Fisdom again…Welcome You all back to Friday Fisdom
After, 70 years of Independence of my beloved country, I am sometimes surprised and sometimes pained to note that women in India, do not enjoy the financial independence or depend on Males for the financial Security….though the trend is changing, but at a very slow pace & at very small percentage…even though more & more women are educated & working equally, or more in some cases…still for financial decisions they are dependent on father, husband or brothers in their family…At Arthashastra, one of our focus areas has been to empower women, so that they live with dignity and self respect…
Today we will briefly talk to 2 females from our team on their views on the same…
Mansi…She has been our Senior Financial Manager, a devoted team member…
Rajendra: ‘What are your views on Women managing their wealth?
Mansi: I too wish all the women a Happy Women’s Day.. In my experience of last 8 years as a Financial Planner, some of my key clients are women and I have found they are equally good, sometimes even better than our male clients. As a mother, I can vouch that there are huge similarities in nurturing a child & managing your wealth…both require lots of patience and mature handling of both good and challenging times…
Dishi….a new member to Arthashastra’s family…a young , educated & a driven girl…also a CFP…
Rajendra: Dishi, at such a young age, why have you chosen this boring profession of managing wealth…
Dishi: Frankly, it may sound boring, but for me it is a creative job…as I want to create an impact on my generation…I have seen today, we young people are earning handsomely, much more then imagination, but we as this Next generation …have found multiple outlets to spend and splurge… I am infact really excited to have taken a mission to create a positive impact in 1000 Girls life of my age…
Rajendra: Mansi – What are the other good qualities of women with regards to wealth management?
Mansi: I think women are less impulsive and thus tend to spend prudently, save more & remain invested, without any fuss, for longer period of time, a basic requirement for wealth creation. Finally, I have found financially independent women are more confident & thus add immense joy & prosperity in their families & society.
Rajendra: Dishi – What message you would like to share with young girls today?
Dishi: Life is all about habits and habits create your future…so it is very important that you choose a habit of investing, at a very young age…Warren Buffet, the 3rd richest person in the world today, started investing from the age of 13…and one of his regrets is he started bit late… I am totally convinced with the power of compounding and our young age, even a saving of small amount every month can play a major role..
Rajendra: Thank You Mansi & Dishi for sharing your views… In my experience of managing family’s wealth, I have found that families where women are empowered tend to be more happier!
